Wonders Unceasing

Late afternoon brightened by the magnificent jaw and mouth on a passing young beauty stopped briefly at the cheap handbag stall out front of the regular makan place. Steady and unblinking beneath the admiration directed at her. Having inspected a few of the bags the girl only met the eye on the turn and responded in kind to the smile. In kind, with one small mannerism which has been retained on the equator into the present day. Fine clear smile. In addition to which the reflex one has noted on numerous occasions. These particular encounters being without issue, the brief dart to the heart stabs once and passes; stabs and passes. Here on Malioboro awaiting Sumiyatie’s much delayed arrival, the blade perhaps cut deeper. With the smile here this particular young woman like a great number of her sisters before her stooped slightly as if passing under a low hanging branch, cherry blossom or apple possibly; nodded as if rain drops had just at that moment fallen from the sky upon her scarved head. A bow; a curtsy; appreciation and thankfulness. The blush was visible in expression more than skin tone. Hello; adieu. Readers may need a good deal of imagination to receive the impression.
