AXIALmelbourne

An Australian writer of Montenegrin origin en route to a polyglot European port at the head of the Adriatic mid-2011 shipwrecks instead on the SE Asian Equator. 12, 36, 48…80, 90++ months passage out awaited. Scribble all the while. By some process stranger than fiction, a role as an interpreter of Islam develops; Buddhism; some living Hinduism (Long story). Singapore National Library

Many a long hour spent over these four months up at the tables on the 8th floor: Arts and Social Sciences reference—excellent dictionaries, atlases and other aids. (A wonderful French section which includes both Celine and also Genet, completely unbeknown to the powers that be without a doubt.) The usual hushing of students required, delightfully polite security personnel, cleanliness throughout goes without saying, the conscientiousness of the shelf-stackers loudly proclaims you are in Singapore.

About Me

My photo
Pavle Radonić
Melbourne - Boka Kotorska - Singapore - Yogyakarta - KL (Chow Kit) - Jakarta (Tanah Abang) - Johor Bahru.
Australian writer of Montenegrin origin. Football, prolonged studies and a short stint of teaching preceded the writing life; a small building project later interrupted. The accidental marooning on the SE Asian equator sent the work into new directions.
